Bods™ never saves your photos. The camera frame goes to our AI to be scored, then it's gone — never stored by us, never seen by us. That's the only place an image from the game ever goes.
This policy explains what data Bods™ collects, why, and what happens to it. We've kept it in plain English because nobody enjoys reading legal documents — not even our lawyers. They prefer surfing.
Bods™ is made by sosogoode ltd, registered in England & Wales. If you have any questions about your data, email us at ross@playbods.com.
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Camera still frame of your attempt (during gameplay) | So the AI judge can see it and score it | Sent to OpenAI's API to score it. Never stored by Bods, never used to train AI. OpenAI may hold a copy briefly to monitor for abuse, then deletes it. Bods never sees it. |
| Appeal record (only if you tap to dispute a score) | So we can review whether the AI judge got it wrong and improve the judging | Text only — never an image. Just the card, the verdicts, and the roast. Stored in Supabase (EU-hosted), tied to your account if you're signed in. |
| Account info (when you create an account) | Required to make purchases. Saves your games and krab keys across devices | Email and auth method stored in Supabase (EU-hosted servers) |
| Purchase data | To know which games you've bought and how many krab keys you have to unlock games | Payment processed by Stripe (we never see your card details). Game IDs and krab key balance stored in Supabase. |
| Game analytics | To understand how people play so we can make the game better | Events like "game started" and "game completed" sent to PostHog (EU-hosted). No personal identification — just what happened in the game. |
| Device storage | To remember your preferences on this device | Stays on your device (localStorage). Preferences like countdown music, team names, and game progress never leave your device. |
This bit is important:
We use a small number of trusted services to make Bods™ work:
Some of our providers are based outside the UK — most importantly OpenAI, which is in the US and receives the still camera frame to score it. When personal data is transferred outside the UK, it's protected by appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (or EU Standard Contractual Clauses), and/or the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as set out in each provider's data-processing terms. Supabase and PostHog are EU-hosted.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email ross@playbods.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort things out first, but you can go to them at any time.
Children love Bods™ — some packs (Wee Bods) are made for them. But the person who sets up the game and holds the account must be 18 or over. An adult should operate the device, and by playing they're agreeing to the camera being used for everyone in shot, including children, on their behalf.
We've designed the game so children's data is kept to a minimum: Bods never stores the camera frame, and the AI scores the body shape — it doesn't recognise or identify faces. A child's image isn't retained by us, isn't used to identify them, and isn't used to train AI. We never store any image from the game — for anyone — so there's simply nothing kept.
We don't knowingly collect personal data from a child without an adult involved. If you believe a child has created an account or that we've collected a child's data without adult involvement, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
Bods™ uses localStorage (not cookies) to save your game preferences on your device. This data never leaves your device. Purchase data (packs, krab keys) is stored server-side in your account.
PostHog uses cookies for analytics purposes. These help us understand gameplay patterns in aggregate — they don't identify you personally.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of Bods™ after changes means you're happy with the updated policy. For significant changes, we'll do our best to let you know.
